Vision

Once having adopted the SF charter our sportspeople can demonstrate at the Olympics for example, that UK sports people consider Sportsmanship First is their priority, therefore sending a powerful message to an impressionable international community.

SF encourages competitiveness at every level but underlines the need for individuals to sincerely respect all competitors.

For example victors will have risen through ranges of varying ability groups at some time in their careers and those competitors they have beaten have been needed, for without them there is no game. Of this they should always be reminded.

As an increasing number of sports change their attitude and are seen to be adopting SF values, especially within sports known at present to be exclusive or uninterested in the less able or skilled, this new inclusiveness will encourage wider participation in sport, resulting in a healthier benefit to society and individuals quality of life.
