Strategy

As the principal initiator of the campaign I believe that it is first necessary to create a steering group that itself would first seek the support and involvement of political and educational representatives who would help to give this national campaign the weight and credibility that will be needed to drive the campaign effectively forward in good time.

It is for this reason I have respectfully approached you. I believe that the development of the project should involve a greater number of suitably qualified people to enable the comprehensive consideration of all aspects of design implementation and execution.

Initially it is envisaged that the project will be piloted in West Sussex, with the steering group/committee benefiting from either the support or direct involvement of local MPs, county councillors, school heads, sporting organisations and key representatives from all sizes of businesses operating within West Sussex. Once the steering group has decided on the legal status of the organisation, be it a charity etc.and the organisation has its own bank account, then local businesses will be encouraged to pledge their financial support for the Sportsmanship First Awards fund.

Eventually I imagine that key personalities from politics sports and education will be seen as united in promoting the campaign with campaign personnel being recruited at county level to implement, monitor and allocate awards.

In the meantime I have secured the domain name of sportsmanshipfirst.co.uk and developed this web page to summarise the principals of the campaign.
